Antiparos Destination Guide

History

Antiparos is a small island in the southern Aegean, at the heart of the Cyclades, just under one nautical mile from Paros and easily reached by local ferry. Known for its signature Cycladic charm, the island features whitewashed houses, cobblestone streets, and colorful flowers that fill its courtyards.
The main town sits on the northeastern tip, across from Pounda on Paros, where the ferry arrives at Antiparos harbor. Its historic center is built around a Venetian castle and connects through winding lanes to the scenic waterfront.
Antiparos also includes the nearby uninhabited island of Despotiko, an important archaeological site. Other well-known areas include St. George, Soros, and Kampos, with popular beaches such as Sifneiko, Agios Spiridon, Soros, and Faneromeni offering crystal-clear waters and stunning views.
